What an engagement looks like.

Each engagement begins with a conversation. The scope, fee, and working arrangement depend on the decision and the work required.

   A conversation

   We begin with a private discussion of the decision, the context, and what has already been tried. Both sides decide whether the firm is a good fit.

2. 02

   A private data room

   When useful, you receive a private workspace containing the firm profile and the documents relevant to the proposed work.

3. 03

   A defined scope or continuing mandate

   A focused assignment has a clear deliverable and fee. Longer or more complex work is structured around the organization and the decisions involved.

4. 04

   The work begins

   Once the terms and first priorities are agreed, Joel leads the work and remains the client’s point of contact.

Fees reflect the scope and duration of the engagement and are agreed before work begins.
